You're not supposed to feel like this.
Tired. Lonely. Antsy. Anxious. Afraid. Worried. Overwhelmed. Unworthy. Confused. Stressed out. Exhausted. Unheard. Misunderstood. Panicked. Stressed.
Unseen. Angry. Pressured. Unloved. Frustrated. Broken. Unworthy. Scared.
Stuck. Unreliable. Frozen. Burdensome. Weird. Sad. Nervous.
These feelings are NOT meant to be your NORMAL.
You feel this way because you have experienced pain. Loss. Unexpected, HARD events.
You experienced TRAUMA.
And no one taught you how to handle it.
Maybe you were taught that trauma "isn't a thing".
Maybe people told you to "walk it off" or "stop crying" or I'll give you something to cry about."
Maybe you were hurt by the same people who loved you, so when you feel these feelings you try to "deal" with them.
And as a result...
Maybe you learned to shove your pain down and pretend that it doesn't exist.
Or to never hold boundaries and to always prioritize other people's needs.
Maybe it was to reject others before they reject you.
Or to never expect anything from anyone.
Maybe you try to control every little detail of life and try to avoid surprises, because surprises are never good.
Maybe you've worked REALLY hard to be the "good one"-
The one that does everything "right" and never makes a mistake.
But as hard as you try to avoid the pain by doing these things....
It never really works.
You still feel it all, after giving it your all.
And
You. Are. OVER it.
You're ready to do whatever it takes to feel better.
To become whoever you need to be in order to have happiness, satisfaction, love, peace, fun.
To feel SAFE being yourself.
But what if you didn't have to change WHO YOU ARE in order to feel better?
What if you could use the very skills you've practiced for years and decades to feel EXACTLY the way you want to?
Here's the thing, friend ---
YOU. ARE. NOT. BROKEN.
Nobody is.
YOU don't need to change who you are to feel better.
You get to change your HABITS.
You get to change your BELIEFS.
You get to ADAPT.
Because what you are is a highly adaptable person.
After all you've been through, you wouldn't be here if you weren't.
And highly adaptable humans can change EASILY-
when they know how to do it.
See, all that hard stuff you've been through?
Those experiences TRAINED you.
They led you to change how you interacted with people, in order to survive.
They led you to not set boundaries-
because it would have put you in harm's way.
They trained you to be hypervigilant and constantly on alert-
so you didn't miss any danger in your home.
They trained you to give up and stop trying-
because when you succeeded, it led to rejection or pain from the people you loved.
And they trained you to do whatever you could to avoid feeling those negative emotions.
They trained you to ADAPT.
You ADAPTED to survive the pain of not having your needs met-
Your need for CONTROL
Your need for LOVE and ACCEPTANCE
And your need for SAFETY.
And- You SURVIVED.
But now that you're ready to THRIVE-
It's time to ADAPT again.
To understand how the very habits you used to protect yourself in the past are now sabotaging your future.
We want to show you how.
We want you to be able to feel BETTER.
Happy. Excited. Optimistic. Vulnerable. Visible. Grateful. Eager. Satisfied. Fulfilled. Successful. Joyous. Free. Empowered. Driven. Relaxed. Peaceful. Calm. Healthy. Vital. Curious. Passionate. Connected. And MORE!
How We Can Help
Dr. Lee founded ITPS as a response to the growing evidence of how trauma affects every aspect of our lives.
How we think.
How we see the world.
What decisions we make.
How we feel.
Who / how we love.
And how healthy we are.
For years, Dr. Lee and our ITPS team have been connecting with hundreds of thousands of humans, developing what we believe the world needs next in terms of healing and connection.
Our ADAPT course is the answer.
ADAPT is a 5-part introductory course to Trauma & Recovery
It is unlike anything currently being offered to the world.
Dr. Lee and team created this course live in May 2023, and we invite you to experience it now, at your own pace.

Frequently Asked Questions
On Day 5, we'll be sharing a variety of free and paid resources that may serve you on your trauma journey.
There is no obligation to purchase anything from us at any time.
Absolutely!
We incorporate the latest research on trauma and the nervous system into our trainings, so you'll probably hear something new!
And if you're well versed in trauma (or serve clients/patients/customers who have trauma) this may serve as a great resource to share with others who are beginning their journey.
We think so!
We find that many people who don't think that they have trauma often realize there is a place that this work may serve them.
This course may also help you better understand those around you who have experienced painful life events and who have struggled to recover.
This course is NOT a substitute for consultation or evaluation by a mental health provider.
We will be discussing potentially activating topics around trauma such as physical harm, child abuse and sexual assault.
We trust all of those attending to decide if the information is triggering, and to use their discretion.
